In a much-appreciated move, the Ministry of Railways has announced an ad-hoc bonus equivalent to 30 days’ emoluments for all Group ‘C’ personnel of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) for the financial year 2024-25.

The ceiling for calculating the bonus has been fixed at ₹7,000 per month, as per the Ministry of Finance’s order dated 29 August 2016.
Eligibility Conditions:
- Must be in service as on 31 March 2025.
- Must have rendered at least six months of continuous service during FY 2024-25.
- Personnel with less than one year but more than six months of service will receive pro-rata payment.
Method of Calculation:
The amount will be computed on the basis of the lower of actual emoluments or the ₹7,000 ceiling.
For example:
₹7,000 × 30 / 30.4 = ₹6,908 (rounded off)
Applicability:
This benefit applies to all Group ‘C’ RPF and RPSF personnel, whether in uniform or out of uniform, and regardless of their place of posting.
